The wait is over!

After the long period of suspension caused by the well-known pandemic, this year, the Municipality of Meta and the "Pro Loco Terra delle Sirene" finally announce the date of the traditional event called "La Via della Croce", a historical representation of the last days of Jesus' life, now in its 14th edition.

La Via della Croce portrays the salient moments of Jesus' betrayal, capture, and conviction, ending with the crucifixion of the Nazarene and his deposition in the tomb. In the representation, in addition to Jesus, the Mother, Pilate, the disciples, and the Sanhedrin, more than two hundred costumed extras, including a group of Roman soldiers with their chariot and horsemen, participate.

The event, covered by national and local media, highlights the commendable participation of the characters and the "natural" scenery of some locations.

From 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, the "Living Paintings" can be visited:
