"Corpus Christi" procession

On Sunday 19 June 2022, will take place in Meta, from the Basilica del Lauro, the Corpus Domini procession.

The Feast of Corpus Christi, also known as the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, is a Christian liturgical solemnity celebrating the Real Presence of the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ in the elements of the Eucharist.

The procession will carry out the following path:

Basilica of Santa Maria del Lauro - Corso Italia - Piazza V. Veneto with Eucharistic blessing - Corso Italia - Via Cristoforo Colombo - Via A. Cosenza - Via Santa Lucia - Via Lamma - Piazza Scarpati with blessing of the sea - Via dei Cafiero - Via Caracciolo - Piazza Casale with Eucharistic blessing - Via Vocal - Via del Lauro - Return to the Basilica.
