Global Youth Tourism Summit in Sorrento

From 27 June to 3 July 2022 the city of Sorrento will host the first Global Youth Tourism Summit in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Tourism and the Italian National Tourist Board. It represents a uninque opportunity for young people aged 12 – 18 to share their vision on the future of tourism sector. The focus of the first event of the summit is on the topic of International Sustainable Tourism. The summit program will include several interactive activites on the Sustainable Development Goals and their effects on tourism. The young delegates will learn how to build a touristic activity that combines sustainability, culture, gastronomy, innovation and climate action. As UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili said: “The Global Youth Tourism Summit […] will help build a lasting legacy by providing young people with the skills and knowledge they need to transform tourism not only in their communities but everywhere.”
